Key performance indicators (KPI) help maintenance professionals analyze their operational efficiency. I am going to review two of the KPIs related to preventive maintenance.

PM Compliance

The first KPI is the PM Compliance. This KPI presents the data points at daily and monthly level based on targeting completion dates.

  • The counts of PMs created and completed are against their targeting completion dates. The first valid value of "Scheduled finish", "Planned finish" or "Time needed" in that order will be used to count PMs. These dates are available in Calem:
    • "Scheduled finish", "Planned finish" and "Time needed" are preset for work orders generated from PM schedules or meters. They can be adjusted later.
    • "Scheduled finish" and "Time needed" should be set for manually created PM work orders.
  • PM compliance is the percentage of PMs completed
  • PM on time count and rate show the number of PM work orders completed on time
By default the daily and monthly KPIs are shown in charts.
  • Use "Drill down" menu to show the list view. A monthly list view is shown below.
  • Check/uncheck attributes shown in the chart to show/hide attributes in the charts.

PM Created/Completed

The second KPI presents the data points at daily and monthly level based on the dates they are created and completed.

  • The count of PM created is calculated on the date a PM is requested.
  • The count of PM completed is calculated on the date a PM is completed.
  • This KPI shows PM creation and completion flow on a daily and monthly basis.

By default the daily and monthly KPIs are shown in charts.

  • Use "Drill down" menu to show the list view. A monthly list view is shown below.

There are many reports related to corrective and preventive work orders including work order cost summary reports. CalemEAM customers may reference Calem Enterprise User Guide for more information.
